The FRP pultrusion mold used in industrial production is widely, and the resin matrix will enhance the material bonded together, transferring the load and equilibrium load. Properties of the resin matrix determine the material heat resistance, chemical resistance, flame resistance, weather resistance, electrical insulation, biological and penetration performance. Because the FRP pultrusion die process should not only meet the requirements and use of the product design but also has a longer gel time and fast curing rate, so the choice of the resin base material shall meet the following requirements.
The low viscosity under normal circumstances, resin viscosity is less than 2Pa.S, preferably solvent-free resin or reaction type resin. Properties of the resin have good fluidity and rapid impregnated glass fiber in the process of use, and easy to eliminate air bubbles.
The resin to adapt to the applicable period of a long period of resin glue prepared at room temperature should be more than 24h.
High reaction activity, short curing time, fast prototyping through mold environment.
The FRP pultrusion mould requires small curing shrinkage to guarantee the curing shrinkage rate is lower than 4%.
