The pulwinding technology is similar to pultrusion, but pulwinding profiles have much better strength and stiffness than pultruded profiles, especially at tansversal direction because there is roving at both longitudinal and transversal direction, so they are suitable to be used as loading structural profiles. The cost of pulwinding product is 20~30% more expensive than pultruded profiles because of more complicated process.

Pulwinding poles can be widely used in electrical poles, light poles and transportation high pressure pipes.

Filament winding

Filament winding is best suited for medium to large diameter parts of longer lengths, for example 1" through 24" diameter structures with lengths from 10' to 20'. It is also the most automated process for producing tubing and tanks and is therefore best suited for higher quantity production runs.
